Mission
The Faculty of Tourism, Arts, Creative and Cultural Industries pursues the following mission:
a) Enhance the exceptional learning experience: provide an exceptional learning experience in the fields of tourism services, arts, creative and cultural industries, ensuring that students receive high-level training and development that equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to utilize in the tourism industry, public sector, other relevant sectors, and to achieve success in their careers;
b) Innovation and research: foster a culture of innovation and research within the organizational unit, encouraging teachers and students to engage in cutting-edge research and creative ventures that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and industry practices;
c) Professionalism and ethical values: promote a strong sense of professionalism and ethical values within the academic community, so that graduates not only excel in their chosen fields but also uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism;
d) Community engagement: encourage active engagement with local and global communities, leveraging expertise to address social challenges and contribute to the well-being of the community at large;
e) Continuous improvement: regularly evaluate and enhance programs, teaching methodologies, and support services to ensure the expectations of students and stakeholders are met;
f) Promotion of creativity and the arts: create an environment that encourages the flourishing of creativity and the arts not only among students but also within the broader community through various initiatives;
g) Development of the tourism industry: contribute significantly to the development of the tourism industry in Timor-Leste by providing high-quality education and research that directly benefit the tourism sector, empowering students with the skills necessary for success in this industry.
Vision
The Faculty of Tourism, Arts, Creative and Cultural Industries pursues its own vision, which is to become a center of excellence in the training and development of human resources in the fields of tourism services, arts, creative and cultural industries, being recognized for consistently delivering quality education, innovation, and professionalism, while continuously promoting the flourishing of creativity in our community.
